Eligibility Requirements

Individuals with valid social security numbers do not qualify. ​

 

An applicant must show that they:

• Are 18 years of age or older

• Are a resident of Illinois

• Make less than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level

• Do not qualify for any of the following public assistance programs:

  • Federal Economic Impact Payments established to alleviate the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic

  • Unemployment insurance

  • Social Security

  • Supplemental Security Income

  • TANF/WIC/SNAP, or any other public assistance

  • VTTC - individuals preparing to apply for Asylum, U visa, or T visa should apply for VTTC and not IFSP

  • Do not receive monthly cash support from the City of Chicago or Cook County
