The Outreach and Interpretation Project (a partnership between ICIRR, IDHS and 40 immigrant serving organizations), has been provding information on safety-net services and interpretation services to Immigrant and Limited English Speakers for nine years. The project has evolved into a resorce program for immigrants in Illinois. As of July 1st 2009, the program name has changed to "Immigrant Family Resource Program" IFRP to encompass the work the partners are doing across the state. IFRP is kicking off an ethnic media campaign with multi lingual print and radio ads across the state. This broad outreach will allow immigrant families affected by the economic crisis to connect with IFRP ethnic community based organziations. The IFRP partners link limited English speakers to resources that are available to all families affected by the economic crisis.
