ICIRR would like to wish everyone a happy 4th of July. We would also like to congratulate all the people celebrating their first 4th of July as new citizens.

Yesterday, 50 new citizens and those applying for citizenship attended the event at the Hanul Family Alliance. Hanul Family Alliance is part of our New Americans Initiative, which assists elegible immigrants to become US citizens.

It was a great celebration of the American Dream. As one participant at the event said "Becoming an American citizen means more than a certificate."

It means more people fully participating in the diverse rich tapestry that is America.

And that is definitely worth celebrating.
