Senator Durbin: We Can't Wait

whynow.jpg

Yesterday, young people were in high spirits as they planned for their Coming Out of the Shadows event on March 10th at Federal Plaza. Citing the Senator's long-time commitment to immigration reform, students wanted to create a visual representation of who the Senator was fighting for, and why reform should happen now.

They used the message "Change Takes Courage" because of it's double meaning. We all need to show the courage to act for what we believe in, the same way Senator Durbin and other leaders must stand up to their opponents for what is right. It will not be easy to pass comprehensive immigration reform this year - it will take courage both from us and from our elected officials.
