Planning Soccer Day

Yesterday the Uniting America Fellows from Waukegan, Skokie, Schaumburg, and Palatine met up to brainstorm for an exciting upcoming event- North Suburban Soccer Day! We are planning a day of summer fun some time in August and you’re all invited!

Soccer is something that brings people together all over the world- from the World Cup to the Euros- so our hope is that young people throughout the north suburbs will meet, maybe for the first time, over friendly matches and skill training.  In addition, we want to incorporate immigrant resources as well as cultural dialogues for all families.

Tatiana, an NADP Fellow, and Naely, a high schooler from Hanover Park also joined us for the brainstorm. They are both awesome resources and are just as excited as we are to see this day happen.
