Today, we launched a citizenship day contest in partnership with CPS Service Learning Initiative and several after school programs throughout the Chicago-land area. Children are very creative and their artworks will show the great American values that this country represents while educating the community about citizenship. Hermes Dervishi from Albania is a student at Roosevelt High School and a leader in Albany Park Neighborhood Council. He recently helped his parents study for the citizenship exam and now the family is closer in reaching the American Dream.
