Identifying Human Trafficking Victims in Illinois

The International Organization for Adolescents has partnered with Illinois Rescue and Restore to identify more victims by creating multiple outreach materials (i.e. matchbooks, bookmarks, and magnets) with the National Human Trafficking Hotline number) in several different languages to be distributed to at risk ethnic groups/communities. Legal Theft? How Western Union Customers Lost $17 Million

On Thursday, February 11th, the Attorney General of Arizona Terry Goddard announced a $94 million settlement with Western Union. Western Union has agreed to pay that sum to “resolve all outstanding issues between Western Union and the State of Arizona.”

Stand with the People of Haiti

We call upon President Barack Obama to provide Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to Haitians as a humanitarian relief so they can support reconstruction efforts in Haiti. TPS would allow Haitian nationals in the US to not only avoid being deported to devastated communities but also aid in the recovery by working and sharing their earnings with loved ones in Haiti.
