Nora was raised in the West Town neighborhood on Chicago’s Near North-Side. She recently graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Political Science and Minor in Latina/o Studies. Nora is a former McNair Scholar and SROP Researcher with focused examinations on Latino/a organizational and identity politics. She has also served as an intern for Ethnographies of the University (EOTU) producing a project on Latina/o student activism at UIUC. Nora continues to remain closely involved in her community through her role as a mentor with the TEAM program at Erie Neighborhood House.
