Alabama has become one of the most hostile states for immigrants in the United States, so what better place to strive toward Uniting America.  After a long night on a coach bus, 46 participants stepped onto the highway in Alabama to join the commemorative march from Selma to Montgomery.  It was such an empowering feeling to be a part of this diverse group.

This past weekend I got the opportunity to be on the other side of the table and take part in one of my volunteer opportunities.  The opportunity that I took part in is a very specific position. It is to help an elderly man, Francisco, take notes during his Spanish GED math class.
