The New Americans Democracy Project (NADP) is ICIRR’s integrated Civic Engagement Program. It encompasses voter registration and mobilization of immigrant citizens in Illinois. The Project also encourages Legal Permanent Residents to become citizens in order to vote and contact their legislators about issues that matter to them.

New Americans Vote 2008 Campaign:

  • Builds political support for immigrant issues through non-partisan electoral action
  • Identifies and train immigrants for future involvement in civic life
  • Creates a political support network through active participation and mentorship

During the Campaign, we will register 20,000 New Americans to vote, and mobilize 60,000 unlikely voters to the polls, to make their voices heard on election day! Check out our Issue Platform.
