New Americans Vote 2008:
Our Vote is Power!
Join the Movement! Get involved as a volunteer
New Americans Vote 2008 is this year's campaign to register immigrant voters and turn them out to vote as a part of ICIRR's integrated civic engagement program called the New Americans Democracy Project (NADP). NADP is an integrated campaign to increase civic participation through voting, citizenship and volunteerism in order to build power for the immigrant community. We prioritize regions of high Latino, Asian, Arab, and Polish populations (according to census and voter data).
New Americans Vote 2008 Goals:
· 20,000 new voter registrations
· 50,000 immigrant voters to the polls
· 1,500 volunteers on Election Day
· Assist at least 8,000 immigrants to become new citizens
· Identify 5,000 Legal Permanent Residents to become citizens
We encourage new citizens to register to vote , and to participate fully in our democracy.
Issue Platform
