Immigrant IntegrationSyndicate content

Immigrants and refugees help to form the rich political, cultural, and economic fabric of America. Immigrant integration is based on the idea that community leaders should work hand-in-hand with elected leaders to ensure that New Americans successfully become parts of their communities- for the benefit of all.

While the movement began as a partnership between the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights and the State of Illinois,  these strategies can and should be shared by communities across the nation that face the same challenges.

ImmigrantIntegration.org acts as a clearinghouse of news and information for people interested in strategies that help immigrants to effectively integrate into society. Over the next few months, we will be boosting the site’s capacity to provide resources to those who are working to integrate New Americans throughout the country.

Our hope is that you benefit from and take part in this project. For more on the Illinois New Americans Executive Order, visit the Illinois page. Blagojevich to craft the executive order, has played a lead role in fostering integration initiatives in other states." We have indeed worked with leaders in states like New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Washington, where new, proactive approaches in the Illinois model will help to transform many nationalities into one nation. It’s exciting to see the movement take root! Read more…
