Jocelyn Bravo (she/her/ella) joins the ICIRR staff as our digital organizer, where she'll be engaging communities online and offline to take action!
Jocelyn was born in Puebla, Mexico and has lived in the Brighton Park neighborhood since her family immigrated to Chicago. After receiving her bachelors degree in economics from UIC in May 2021, Jocelyn continued to fuel her passion to engage young adults in policy and politics in different roles.
She has previously worked on vaccine outreach with Young Invincibles and getting out the youth vote with Chicago Votes. Interested in building power in immigrant communites, Jocelyn joined ICIRR in Fall 2022 as a Democracy Project Digital Fellow to mobilize immigrant voters for the Midterms.
Outside of work, Jocelyn volunteers as a UIC Alumni Board Member, Sunrise Chicago Committee Lead, and Chicago Scholars Mentor. She enjoys getting walked by her dog, playing board games with friends, and finding the best donut in the Chicagoland Area.
